By accessing or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the website or its resources.
1. About Generational Wealth Institute™
Generational Wealth Institute™ is a research-driven institution focused on improving the quality of consequential ownership decisions.
Our work may include:
- independent research
- Research Reports and Research Briefs
- proprietary frameworks
- assessments and diagnostic tools
- educational materials
- case studies
- Generational Wealth Conversations™
- membership resources
- Ownership Decision Reviews™
- Decision Intelligence Reports™
- executive and institutional education
- other research and advisory resources related to ownership decisions
Our public-facing mission is reflected in:
Better Ownership Decisions. Better Outcomes.
The Institute seeks to help founders, business owners, families, and institutions understand important ownership questions before consequential decisions become difficult or irreversible.
2. Information Is for Research, Educational, and Decision-Support Purposes
Content available through GenerationalWealth.org is provided for general informational, educational, research, and decision-support purposes.
Unless specifically stated in a separate written engagement agreement, materials available through this website do not constitute individualized professional advice.
Nothing on this website should be interpreted as:
- legal advice
- tax advice
- accounting advice
- securities advice
- investment advice
- financial planning
- business valuation
- brokerage services
- investment banking services
- transaction representation
- fiduciary investment management
- lending advice
- estate-planning advice
- insurance advice
- or any other regulated professional service
You should consult appropriately licensed or qualified professionals before making decisions requiring specialized legal, tax, accounting, investment, valuation, regulatory, or financial expertise.
3. Independent Decision Support
Generational Wealth Institute™ may provide structured analysis designed to improve the quality of ownership decision-making.
Our role is distinct from professionals or organizations hired to execute transactions.
For example, the Institute may help examine questions such as:
- whether to sell or retain a business
- whether to pursue an acquisition
- whether a business is transferable
- whether ownership should be restructured
- whether an owner should bring in a partner
- whether management should be professionalized
- whether ownership should transition to family members
- how different ownership alternatives compare
- what risks or trade-offs should be considered
The Institute does not merely by providing such analysis:
- broker the sale of a business
- locate or solicit buyers
- act as an investment banker
- negotiate securities transactions
- manage client investments
- provide legal representation
- provide tax representation
- guarantee financing
- guarantee transaction outcomes
- or execute the ownership decision on your behalf
Our role is generally upstream of execution.
4. Ownership Decision Framework™
The Ownership Decision Framework™ and its associated concepts, methodologies, tools, terminology, models, processes, assessments, graphics, analyses, and related materials are proprietary intellectual property of Generational Wealth Institute™, except where otherwise expressly stated.
The Ownership Decision Framework™ may be used by the Institute to help:
DEFINE → DIAGNOSE → ANALYZE → COMPARE → DECIDE
consequential ownership questions.
Access to public descriptions of the Framework does not grant any right to reproduce, teach, license, commercialize, adapt, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative professional services based on the Framework without written authorization from the Institute.
5. Ownership Decision Reviews™
Access to this website does not create an advisory relationship.
Submitting an application for an Ownership Decision Review™ does not guarantee:
- acceptance
- availability
- An Invitation to Proceed
- creation of an engagement
- or any particular result
An advisory relationship begins only after the Institute and the applicant enter into a separate written engagement agreement, and any required fees or onboarding requirements have been completed.
The terms of that written engagement agreement will govern the specific Ownership Decision Review™ if any conflict arises between that agreement and these general website Terms.
6. Decision Intelligence Reports™
A Decision Intelligence Report™ may be produced as the enduring output of an Ownership Decision Review™.
Such reports represent the Institute’s analysis based on:
- information available at the time
- materials provided by the client
- interviews
- assumptions
- research
- professional judgment
- relevant supporting frameworks
- and conditions existing during the period evaluated
Decision Intelligence Reports™ do not guarantee future results.
Businesses, markets, families, individuals, regulations, financing conditions, valuations, and other circumstances can change after a report is issued.
Unless separately agreed, the Institute has no obligation to update a Decision Intelligence Report™ after its issuance.
7. No Guarantee of Outcomes
Ownership decisions involve uncertainty.
The Institute cannot and does not guarantee:
- investment returns
- business performance
- transaction success
- sale price
- enterprise valuation
- financing availability
- tax outcomes
- legal outcomes
- succession success
- family outcomes
- preservation of wealth
- future market conditions
- or any other financial or nonfinancial result
The purpose of our work is to improve the quality of decision-making—not to eliminate uncertainty.
Any decision remains the responsibility of the person or entity making that decision.
8. Research and Publications
Research published by Generational Wealth Institute™ may incorporate:
- publicly available information
- interviews
- Institute research
- case studies
- aggregated observations
- survey findings
- proprietary datasets
- third-party research
- expert commentary
- or other information believed to be useful
We seek to produce thoughtful and reliable work, but research may contain limitations.
Information may:
- become outdated
- be incomplete
- depend on assumptions
- reflect limited sample sizes
- involve subjective interpretation
- or change as new evidence becomes available
Research should therefore be considered in context rather than treated as a guarantee or prediction.
9. Assessments, Scores, and Diagnostic Tools
The Institute may provide assessments, questionnaires, diagnostics, benchmarks, readiness tools, or scores.
These tools are intended to support reflection, research, and structured decision-making.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, they are not:
- certified valuations
- credit scores
- psychological diagnoses
- legal determinations
- investment suitability assessments
- actuarial assessments
- underwriting decisions
- guarantees
- or substitutes for individualized professional review
A score should not be interpreted in isolation as determining whether a person should pursue a particular ownership decision.
10. Artificial Intelligence and Analytical Technology
The Institute may use software, automation, artificial intelligence, data-processing systems, or analytical technologies to assist with research, organization, analysis, administrative functions, or preparation of materials.
Where used, such technologies are tools supporting the Institute’s work and do not independently replace professional judgment.
Users should not assume that any automated output is complete, error-free, or suitable for making a consequential ownership decision without appropriate human review.
11. User Responsibilities

21. Fees, Purchases, and Refunds
Certain products, memberships, reports, assessments, educational programs, or advisory engagements may require payment.
Specific pricing, payment schedules, cancellation provisions, refund policies, and engagement terms may be provided separately at the time of purchase or engagement.
Where separate transaction-specific terms apply, those terms will govern the applicable purchase.
22. Testimonials, Case Studies, and Examples
Testimonials, case studies, scenarios, and illustrative examples may be used to explain ownership decisions or Institute methodologies.
They should not be interpreted as promises that another individual or organization will achieve the same outcome.
Some examples may be:
- anonymized
- composite
- simplified
- hypothetical
- or modified to protect confidentiality
Where practicable, the Institute may identify fictional or illustrative scenarios as such.
23. Forward-Looking Information
